Check and replacement of bearings of a nave of a back wheel

Двухрядный the roller or ball bearing is filled by greasing both tightly corked, and does not require service. Do not remove the bearing without emergency as it will lead to its damage. Do not draw a power shaft nut in attempt to "adjust" the bearing.

 CHECK

1. Block forward wheels and choose a backing (or position “Р”). Поддомкратьте a back part of the car also establish it on axial props. Remove a back wheel and completely release a manual brake.
2. To check up the bearing of a forward wheel on deterioration, measure lateral люфт naves. Establish a micrometer so that its probe rested against an outer side of a flange of a nave. Люфт should not exceed 0.03 mm. If it not so, the bearing is worn out excessively and it is necessary to replace it.

MODELS WITH THE BACK AXIS OF THE CLOSED TYPE

 REPLACEMENT

1. Remove a drum of a back brake as it is described in the Head Brake system.

2. Using special flat-nose pliers, remove a lock ring of the bearing from nave lateral aspect (address to an accompanying illustration).

3. Reliably prop up lateral aspect of a nave and supersede or beat out the bearing, using tubular выколотку. Выколотка should lean only against an external ring of the bearing.
4. Carefully clear a nave of a dirt and greasing. Grind off teases and roughnesses which could prevent installation of the new bearing. Check up a nave on presence of cracks and other damages and replace it if it is necessary. The bearing and a lock ring should be replaced after their each removal. The repair complete set for bearing replacement consists of the bearing, a lock ring, a lining, a persistent washer, a nut of a nave and a protective cap with greasing.
5. At assemblage, be convinced (if probably) that the new bearing is filled by greasing. Put on an external ring of the bearing and a rotary pin a thin layer трансмиссионного oils.
6. Reliably prop up a nave underside, then establish the bearing into position, using approaching распорную the plug which leans only against an external ring of the bearing. Be convinced that the bearing is not warped.
7. Attach the bearing a new lock ring.
8. Establish a brake drum as it is described in the Head Brake system.

MODELS WITH THE BACK AXIS OF OPEN TYPE

 REPLACEMENT

1. On these models there are two types of assemblage of a nave. On cars where the nave and a brake drum represent the uniform not folding block, procedure of replacement of the bearing is similar described above. On cars where a brake drum demountable (Scenic), the bearing is built in about a nave and cannot be removed separately. On these models bearing replacement involves replacement of full assemblage of a nave that is described more low.
2. Remove a drum of the back brake mechanism as it is described in the Head Brake system.
3. Accurately wring out a screw-driver a cover from the nave centre. If the cover is damaged, replace it.
4. Using a head and a long core, turn away a nut of a nave of a wheel. Will throw out a nut - it is subject to replacement.
5. Take assemblage of a nave and the bearing from a rotary fist. If to make it it is not possible, knock on periphery of a flange of a nave киянкой or use a universal stripper.
6. Establish assemblage of a nave and attach its new nut. Tighten a nut the effort resulted in Specifications, and establish a nave cap.
7. Establish a brake drum as it is described in the Head Brake system.
